  • Purpose

    You will be presented to specific tools for analyzing the sustainability of products and various design strategies to reduce the environmental effects of products. The specific tools (CES Eco indicator and SW Sustainability) are included in the CES and SolidWorks programs respectively, therefore you will expand your competencies in the two programs. In the elective uses a case based approach. This means that the activities in the elective are based on a company's existing product. You will determine the product's environmental effects and redesign it in order to improve the product's sustainability.

    The form of teaching is a mixture of class teaching in which theories, methods and tools are presented.
