Optimisation 2 (EN)2019/2020
In the theme of Optimization 2, you build on knowledge about optimization of production and processes from 1st and 2nd semester. There will be a focus on understanding production as a chain of processes. In this context, you will be given additional methods to map, calculate and simulate processes. The theme also touches on how you manage the company's supply chains as well as how you assess the company's future resource needs.
Teaching the theme Optimization 2 will include: consist of the following:

The form of teaching is a mixture of class teaching in which theories, methods and tools are presented. You will then work on practice-related tasks both individually and in groups, which are also presented.

The project process is structured so that a synopsis must be handed in early in the process
WISEflow, and finally the final project is submitted.
Synopsis is not a compulsory element of the program, and failure to pass it does not therefore cost an exam. However, it is an important working document that we strongly recommend that you prepare. If the group has failed to prepare a synopsis, the group also does not have the right to guidance.
Synopsis is used as the final basis for the assessment of the project's quality and final approval. Approval is made immediately after the handover. 'Evaluation of
synopsis'. The completed synopsis must include an overall project plan.
The synopsis must be a maximum of 3 normal pages - both for group and individual production.
Apply the template to FRONTER and include the following:
• Problem definition
• Context / empiricism
• Methodological and theoretical considerations
• Tentative conclusion

Evaluation of synopsis
• 5 minutes for presentation

• Why is the project still a good idea? Have any changes been made to what you like?

However, Excel documents and Microsoft Project files are delivered in the original version. Appendices are not part of the assessment basis.
Reports uploaded as PDF image files will not be accepted. This means, inter alia, that text and
tables should be able to be editable, scanned and highlighted in the uploaded PDF format.
For group submissions, remember that all members of the group must submit the material in the respective flows. All members of the group must appear on the title page or other front page.
