- Purpose and learning objectives
The internship period is organised in such a way as to ensure that the internship,Knowledge
together with the rest of the programme, contributes to the student achieving the
learning objectives. The internship period is designed to enable the student to apply
programme methods, theories and tools through the completion of specific practical
tasks within the core areas of the programme and the elective programme elements
that the student has taken.
The learning objectives and content description for the internship are drawn up by the
student in collaboration with the institution and the company – in compliance with the
following learning objectives.
The student will gain knowledge about:Skills
the practice of the profession and the subject area as well as key applied theory and methods in:
• the overall financial and organisational circumstances of a specific company
• the overall company description, including products and markets
• the context of the internship and the company
• the student's own role in relation to the company.
Under supervision, the student will get the skills to:Competences
• plan and implement their own work assignments in the company
• apply acquired and appropriate technical and analytical working methods associated with employment in the industry
• assess and communicate practice-orientated issues and problems, and list possible solutions to the company.
Under supervision, the student will learn to:
• manage and structure practical and technical situations in relation to the company
• participate in professional and interdisciplinary cooperation with a professional approach
• acquire new knowledge, skills and competencies in relation to the profession.
- Type of instruction
In this semester, the teaching classes, in the traditional sense, ends. Your contact with the school is only in collaboration with the teacher, who is your supervisor and contact person during the semester.
The first half of the semester, where you are having your internship, is in a business context, where you have to train and use the professional methods and tools, you have worked with and acquired during the first 3 semesters.
Similarly, the second half of the semester is about writing and completing your graduation assignment in a collaboration with a company, where the theoretical, methodological and competence skills you have acquired during your training can be seriously tested.
Note that the assigned supervisor during the 10-week internship may well change when you begin the 7-week graduation assignment. This is partly due to the fact that the teachers may be differently burdened during the period, and partly because the aim is to make the best possible professional match between the teacher and the assignment.

The internship lasts 10 weeks, and it is strongly recommended that the 7 weeks of the final assignment also be left to the internship site, so that the total number of weeks is as large as possible. Only by including holidays do you therefore get over 17 weeks of internship.
Internships in DK are what most people end up with, but note that internships are to be held in
abroad, should be coordinated with KEA Global, which also advises on this. If you have the courage to try to get an internship internationally, then it is already in the middle of the 2nd semester that
the business contacts must be established. This is because countries such as the United States have many visas and procedures that must be in place before one can enter. Typically, this work can last 4 months from the time the company says yes to the internship contract.

In addition, consider distance to the internship location, professional challenge, task portfolio and not least the possibility of employment later. Many companies use the internship period to look at a student for. Possibly. later employment. For the same reason, it is important to consider how internships and further courses affect your CV.
Internships are coordinated with the teachers in relation to the academic aspects and with KEA Erhverv regarding contract, database etc.
The internship period must, cf. section 4, subsection 3, 2. pkt. in the Executive Order on business academy educations and professional bachelor educations may be unpaid, but the company in question may after the internship give students a so-called gratitude for appreciating the student's efforts corresponding to a maximum of DKK 3,000 per month of internship.
It is also possible to have a student job in the internship company in parallel with the internship, but it is important to be aware that the internship and the student job are two separate agreements. The 37-hour internship covered by the internship contract must be unpaid, while anything in addition can be paid.
On the education's roadmap you will find everything related to your internship; database, contracts, etc.
You are an intern at a company, and you basically spend all 37 hours a week at the internship site. Variations may occur, but as a general rule, you must be at least 80% of the 10 weeks on the company premises.
The purpose of the internship is to support the learning objectives of the education. It is important to be aware of this in this regard. that the internship agreement is entered into, during the internship and when the final report is written.
Every week you hand in approx. 1/2 page text and a picture for your supervisor, and you can use the internship report template, which can be found on the education's roadmap.
After the 10 weeks, you must submit an internship report according to the above-mentioned PRT template, consisting of:
• A short week-based description of the internship (collection of previous).
• A description of the learning outcomes one has had during the internship period with reflections on the course.
• The internship agreement is attached in the project report.
Your company must insure you during your internship.
Your supervisor initiates a visit to your internship. The purpose is to meet the company and at the same time discuss the synopsis for your upcoming graduation project. A large distance from Copenhagen to the internship site can prevent the visit.
As a workplace internship above simply relegated to a company abroad.
Thus, in connection with international internships after the 10 weeks, you must also submit an internship report according to the PRT template consisting of:
• A short week-based description of the internship (collection of previous)
• A description of the learning outcomes one has had during the internship period with reflections on the course
• The internship agreement is attached in the project report.
For financial and practical reasons, visits from your supervisor are rarely possible. However, there will usually be more attention towards you as an international intern, and you should expect more Skype (or equivalent) conversations during your 10 week internship.
If possible, your supervisor will take the initiative for a visit to your internship. The purpose is to meet the company and at the same time discuss your upcoming graduation assignment.
Basically, entrepreneurship internships have a relevant and specific business idea as a basis for the process. It must be centered on a product or concept with the potential to develop into a viable business. Through dialogue with relevant actors and user groups, the business idea must be professionalized, and the collected feedback must be integrated into the product or concept development in connection with a subsequent final project.
The internship itself is thus an intangible phase set aside for the validation of a business concept and a business plan that will lay the foundation for transforming the idea into a tangible, physical product and production preparation as part of the final project.
Only a limited number of entrepreneurship internships are offered each semester, therefore you must apply to take an entrepreneurial internship. (see more on the education's roadmap).
During your internship you or your group will receive 6 hours of guidance from your counselor.
The rest of the time equivalent to 405 hours are used on internship work. The activities in relation to internship work during the internship depend on the kind of internship you choose, but overall it is your own responsibility to structure the amount of time you spend on writing your report, working at the company, preparing for the exam, etc.
The internship primarily includes of the following activities: writing applications to potential companies, evaluating the internship, doing industry research, completing the tasks that were agreed upon, having dialogues with the employer, writing a report based the internship, interacting with a contact person in the company, producing an internship contract and having it approved.
