  • Content and learning outcomes

    Facilities Management skal introducere den studerende til at kunne løse og gennemføre FM opgaver som en ledelsesdisciplin, der har ansvaret for de fysiske rammer omkring en virksomhed og de tilknyttede servicefunktioner.

    Der har gennem tiderne været flere definitioner og fortolkninger af begrebet Facilities Management. KEA følger den Europæiske og danske standard DS/EN 15221-1, der bl.a. har opbakning hos DFM-net, Dansk Facilities Management Netværk og CFM, Center for Facilities Management, der siger:

    ”Integrering af processer inden for en organisation for at fastholde og udvikle de services som understøtter og forbedre effektiviteten af de primære aktiviteter”

    Ud fra standarden kan FM grupperes i kundebehov under overskrifterne ”Arealer og infrastruktur”, og ”Mennesker og organisation”. Dette svarer til den ofte benyttede opdeling mellem Ejendomsdrift og Services, også kaldet ”hård FM” og ”blød FM”. På KEA vil hovedvægten indtil videre ligge på ”hård FM”.

    Professionsretningen tilskynder de studerende til i undervisningsforløbet, at arbejde ud fra en strategisk tankegang og dokumenterede bygherre-/driftsherre krav, der understøtters af den økonomiske ramme for det valgte projekt. I løbet af specialeperioden øves og anvendes en fælles terminologi til at beskrive og diskutere disse krav.
    Centralt i undervisningen er udarbejdelsen af et projekt, der suppleres med forelæsninger, ekskursioner, studietur og øvelser. Ved siden af projektudarbejdelsen introduceres de studerende til digitale værktøjer til beregning og præsentation.

    - Legal matters regarding payment for extra work

    - Foundation laying

    - Production methods and processes
    - Planning of construction site production
    - Production and resource management

    Competences

    The student has acquired the competencies to handle the following complex situations:
    Independently participate in:
    - Management and planning of a construction contract
    Assume responsibility within the following areas:
    - Preparation of tender list for a concrete structure
    - Quality assurance

  • Type of instruction
    The teaching is based on the understanding that learning is most efficient if students are given the opportunity to work with real-life assignments from, or inspired by, companies in relevant industries.
    When choosing a project, the possibility of incorporating the academic and professional challenges throughout the semester into the project must be taken into account.
    The students are given the opportunity to be involved in the various project phases, from preliminary analysis to realisation of the project. In connection with the project work, the students are faced with real-life problems to be solved based on the given theory, and are to organise the work in such a way that deadlines can be met. The students are furthermore provided with the necessary qualifications to work independently, thereby preparing them to complete the final project as an individual assignment.
    This working method allows the students to gain an understanding of how problems are identified and analysed, how solution models are set up, and how the right solution is adopted.
