  • Formål

    The Course introduces students to a holistic analysis of contemporary public urban spaces and it is focalized to plan new landscape architectures in Copenhagen. Public spaces are analyzed on a number of parameters such as design and use both physical and virtual. Especially the space usage is recognized as a number of planned and unplanned activities and social interactions that contribute to the urban space more subtle reading. Immediately following the analysis it is developed concepts that can affect and change the use of the selected urban spaces for the users and the surrounding urban areas development and cohesion.
    The projects will be based on some points from the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Cities

    The students must have knowledge of
    OBJECTIVES
    1. Develop an understanding of architectural open space,
    function and material tectonics
    2. Develop the site analysis,
    the masterplan,
    conceptual and architectural development skills,
    3. Develop the concept
    stage digital / analogue presentation skills.

    Færdigheder

    The students should be able to
    The landscape architecture proposal submitted must:
    - Describe the Concept of the whole urbanistic vision of the public space
    - Define clearly the MASTERPLAN - the whole project-
    • Describing the FUNCTIONS and the ARCHITECTURAL COMPOSITION
    • through different systems of the compositional layers
    • diagrams
    • MATERIAL choices.
    -Select one architectural proposal, from the Masterplan
    -Developed to a high level of functional and tectonic aspects and details
    with regard to the principles of Sustainable Design

    a Urban Landscape Architecture proposal, from urbanistic scale of the City to architectural details
