Why services matters? The prosperity of modern countries is mainly created in the service sector, which is contributing with more than 75% to both employment and economic growth. Most businesses have a service component, why successful and profitable delivery of services is instrumental.Consulting: This part of the elective covers the most important aspects and capabilities of working in a professional services organization. What it means to be a consultant, what you do and how you do it.

Professional Services Management: In the other part, we focus on management and you will learn the key elements, which are required to start your consulting business or work on a management level in a service company. You will learn some of the typical challenges
that managers face – and try to resolve them in case

A mix of theory and practice. There will be lectures followed by case exercises supplied by KEA’s external partners, excursions, conferences and involvement of external partners.
The elective will be based on different literature, some of it delivered free from our partners, however it is expected that the students acquire 2nd edition of the book “Fundamentals of Business Process Management” (http://fundamentals-of-bpm.org/). - Exam

Prerequisites for access to the examinationIndividual oral exam based on written group product. In order to participate in the oral exam, the written product must be handed in before the oral exam, by the set
deadline. The grade is based on an overall assessment of the written product and the individual oral performance.
