  • Purpose and learning objectives
    Knowledge

    The student has acquired:
    An understanding of practice, applied theories and methods within Form and Design and an ability to reflect on how this front end development is different from construction and engineering
    A development-based knowledge of essential practical tools of Form and Design
    A basic understanding of Form and Design applied at operational, tactical and strategic company levels

    Skills

    The student is able to:
    Assess practice oriented and theoretical issues relating to Form and Design in front end development as well as justify and select strategies for develloping ideas through to concepts
    Assess practice-oriented and theoretical issues associated with aspects of the ’user’ side of product development

    Competences

    The student is able to:
    Master practice oriented Form giving on simple objects by optimising the choice, change and use of multiple tools in succession
    Identify their own learning requirements and develop their own knowledge, skills and
    competencies in relation to Form and Design
