  • Purpose and learning objectives

    Augmented Reality is one of the emerging technologies offering the greatest potential for helping companies to improve productivity, increase sales, reduce maintenance downtime etc. This course is aiming to introduce AR technology in different use case scenarios, workflow inside Unity, and build the mobile-based AR application. Through the elective, we will gradually work our way into AR technology and expect that students will choose a use case scenario in order to maximize outcomes.

    Knowledge

    -Understand, differentiate and explain the technologies terminology such as VR, AR, XR, and MR.
    -Understand AR content creation workflow.

    Skills

    -can prepare and transform CAD files into Unity
    -can work with Unity editor
    -can produce simple game mechanics in Unity
    -can build and translate the UI design from Adobe XD to Unity

    Competences

    -can design and build the complex workflow in Unity
    -can see the potential and use the technology to improve the daily work in the company

    Have delivered presentation slides and AR Application on time
    Exam in one or more subjects

    The exam is two parts, consisting of 1 page written and a demonstration of AR application.
    Type of assignment
    The assignment topic is available from starting day, it is consist of 3D modeling, importing/exporting 3D assets, UI/UX design, and animations.
