Business Strategy introduces the students to methods for and tools in creating a common and unifying direction for a company's activities. A direction that integrates an understanding of the company's optimum positioning in relation to the surrounding threats and opportunities, with a focus on which resources and skills the company should attract, maintain and develop.

Teaching in the Business Economics and Information Technology programme is a dynamic, interactive process that emphasises the active participation of students. Students take responsibility for their own learning process, while actively receiving input from lecturers. Teaching is a combination of class teaching, project work in groups and individual work - usually with interdisciplinary assignments.
In order to ensure optimal professional learning and personal development for each student, the Business Economics and Information Technology programme uses a variety of pedagogical methods with an emphasis on dialogue, discussion and project work. Teaching is structured in order to use a diverse variety of methods, including class teaching, group work, interdisciplinary cases, teamwork, guest lectures, company visits and project work.
Teaching is carried out through a combination of classroom teaching, lectures, workshops, study groups, exercises and major projects. The organisation of the teaching is based on relevant business practice and applied theory.
The programme includes teaching methods which enable students to develop independence and the ability to interact with others as well as to be innovative.
Where appropriate, the programme includes training in entrepreneurship, innovation and intercultural interaction. - Exam

Information Technologies, Systems Development, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship from an interdisciplinary perspective.
• Can collect and analyse user and marketing research.

To take the exam, the student must submit all the assignments specified on KEA's learning platform.
The basis for the examination consists of selected assignments, which together constitute the portfolio of assignments. The assignments have been selected and described in the semester guide, which is available at the start of the semester. The assignments can be prepared individually or in groups.
Individual oral exam
The starting point of the oral part of the examination is the portfolio of assignments.
The oral exam lasts 30 min. incl. grading.

The evaluation of the performance is based on the degree to which it complies with the purpose and learning objectives of the subjects.
In the subject Business Strategy you will receive 70 hours of instruction, which corresponds to 93 lessons (1 lesson = 45 min.) and 51% of your total workload for the subject.
